November Anniversary in 2014.
I made 100 and also 60 which I gave to the volunteers of our local branch.

2015-2016
I crocheted 100 poppies each year
in Remembrance of those who lost their lives.
Although it was a small effort
considering all those who gave
their lives, never to be forgotten.

2017
I made 150 poppies for our Poppy Appeal last year and received this message from one of the two people (Phil and Anne) who did a wonderful job of selling them.
"As to how much you raised with your Poppies at 3 pound being the lowest and some people putting 5 in the tin I would say 450.00 ".
They were different to the ones above and had a backing card with
In Remembrance on some in red and black, Lest We Forget on others in red and black too.

February 2018
I have made Poppies for the Poppy Appeal for 4 years and this year is my last.
I decided to make 400 poppies for the Northampton Poppy Appeal
as it is the 100th Anniversary from 1914 to 1918 (to the signing of the Armistice).
I wanted to make 400 poppies for the 100th Anniversary 2018.
I have now managed to achieve it.
Obviously I still have a lot of work to do and thank all of the people who will go into selling them and the people who will support the Royal British Legion by buying them. They will have different stamps all to do with Remembrance.
I would also like to thank my Husband Pat who has helped enormously in fulfilling my wish to crochet these poppies by all the work he did.
I could not have managed it with out you. xxx

Obviously my Hubby and I will still donate to our Poppy Group of the British Legion.
I have been told that my poppies that were sold by Phil and Anne at Morrisons made £1,300. Another 100 were sold at Aldi's but do not have the total for them. Therefore I am delighted to have raised over at least £1,500 for my final year. Thank you to everyone who supported the NRBL by purchasing them. I also gave over 100 to other /people, groups so exceeded making 600 this year in all as still 75 left. I would like as always to thank my dearest Husband Pat. xxx Elated and humbled. Sandy
